Hi, I’m Deborah Burns—author, innovator, storyteller, and most importantly, a mother and grandmother who believes every child’s birth day holds a little magic.
Once upon a time, I wrote “Saturday’s Child,” a memoir about my fabulous, larger-than-life mother. At book events, readers often asked about the title’s meaning, and I found myself reciting the old nursery rhyme, “Monday’s Child,” again and again.
"Saturday’s Child works hard for a living." That line always struck a chord. I’d certainly worked hard in my media career and, in many ways, for my mother’s love. But I realized something else: This beloved 200-year-old rhyme—once a part of every childhood—was fading from memory.
And then, life gave me another nudge. Two precious granddaughters, born on different days of the week, arrived to show me that the world needed
THE 7 DAYS.
What began as a baby shower keepsake book soon grew into a vibrant world of astrology-infused wisdom—each book celebrating a child’s unique strengths and potential. THE 7 DAYS isn’t just about reimagining a nursery rhyme; it’s about giving children a lifelong foundation of confidence, self-awareness, and connection.
As a former media chief innovation officer turned multi-genre author and brand storyteller, I’ve spent my life helping people and companies see new possibilities. Now, through THE 7 DAYS, I help parents and children do the same.
