Hi, I’m Deborah Burns—author, innovator, storyteller, and most importantly, a mother and grandmother who believes that each day’s unique energy is a gift from the stars.
Once upon a time, destiny came calling. Suddenly, I felt compelled to write “Saturday’s Child,” a memoir about my unconventional mother. At book events, readers never failed to ask about the title’s meaning, and I found myself reciting the old nursery rhyme, “Monday’s Child,” again and again.
"Saturday’s Child works hard for a living." That line from the rhyme always struck a chord. I’d certainly worked hard in my media career and, in many ways, for my mother’s love. But I felt there was so much more, and a new idea hit just as suddenly—this beloved 200-year-old rhyme needed to be retold for a new day.
And then, the universe gave me another nudge. Two precious granddaughters, born on different days of the week, arrived to show me that I needed to act because the world needed “THE 7 DAYS.”
I rewrote the nursery rhyme, infusing it with astrological wisdom and life lessons to give children a foundation of self-awareness, confidence, and connection. What began as a baby shower keepsake book for the day a child is born, soon grew into “THE 7 DAYS” series, with each book celebrating a child’s unique strengths and potential.
A series that expanded to parents with another “written in the stars” book, “THE 7 DAYS: THE DAILY FLOW.” This #1 New Release now moves past the day of the week a child is born to the energy of the days themselves.
This timely book is like Montessori meets “Momstrology,” inspiring parents to build the human traits children will need to thrive in a very different AI future.
